Story about Snow White.

Once upon a time as a queen sits sewing at her window, she pricks her finger on her needle and three drops of blood fall on the snow that had fallen on her ebony window frame. As she looks at the blood on the snow, she says to herself, "Oh, how I wish that I had a daughter that had skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony". Soon after that, the queen gives birth to a baby girl who has skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony. They name her Princess Snow White. As soon as the child is born, the queen dies.
Soon after, the king takes a new wife, who is beautiful but also very vain. The new queen possesses a magical mirror, an animate object that answers any question, to whom she often asks: "Mirror, mirror on the wall / Who is the fairest of them all?" (in German "Spieglein, Spieglein, an der Wand / Wer ist die Schönste im ganzen Land?"; in Italian "Specchio, servo delle mie brame, chi è la più bella di tutto il reame?" ) to which the mirror always replies "You, my queen, are fairest of all." But when Snow White reaches the age of seven, she becomes as beautiful as the day, and when the queen asks her mirror, it responds: "Queen, you are full fair, 'tis true, but Snow White is fairer than you." Though in another version, the mirror simply replies: "Snow White is the fairest of them all."
The queen becomes jealous, and orders a huntsman to take Snow White into the woods to be killed. She demands that the huntsman, as proof of killing Snow White, return with her lungs and her liver. The huntsman takes Snow White into the forest, but after raising his knife to stab her, he finds himself unable to kill her as he has fallen deeply in love with her. Instead, he lets her go, telling her to flee and hide from the Queen. He then brings the queen the lungs and the liver of a boar, which is prepared by the cook and eaten by the queen.
In the forest, Snow White discovers a tiny cottage belonging to a group of seven dwarves, where she rests. There, the dwarves take pity on her, saying "If you will keep house for us, and cook, make beds, wash, sew, and knit, and keep everything clean and orderly, then you can stay with us, and you shall have everything that you want." They warn her to take care and let no one in when they are away delving in the mountains. Meanwhile, the Queen asks her mirror once again "Who's the fairest of them all?", and is horrified to learn that Snow White is not only alive and well and living with the dwarves, but is still the fairest of them all.
Three times the Queen disguises herself and visits the dwarves' cottage while they are away during the day, trying to kill Snow White. First, disguised as a peddler, the Queen offers colorful stay-laces and laces Snow White up so tight that she faints, causing the Queen to leave her dead on the floor. However, Snow White is revived by the dwarves when they loosen the laces. Next, the Queen dresses as a different old woman and brushes Snow White's hair with a poisoned comb. Snow White again collapses, but again is saved by the dwarves. Finally, the Queen makes a poisoned apple, and in the disguise of a farmer's wife, offers it to Snow White. When she is hesitant to accept it, the Queen cuts the apple in half, eats the white part and gives the poisoned red part to Snow White. She eats the apple eagerly and immediately falls into a deep stupor. When the dwarves find her, they cannot revive her, and they place her in a glass coffin, assuming that she is dead.
Time passes, and a prince traveling through the land sees Snow White. He strides to her coffin. The prince is enchanted by her beauty and instantly falls in love with her. He begs the dwarves to let him have the coffin. The prince's servants carry the coffin away. While doing so, they stumble on some roots and the movement causes the piece of poisoned apple to dislodge from Snow White's throat, awakening her. The prince then declares his love for her and soon a wedding is planned.
The vain Queen, still believing that Snow White is dead, once again asks her mirror who is the fairest in the land, and yet again the mirror disappoints her by responding that "You, my queen, are fair; it is true. But the young queen is a thousand times fairer than you."
Not knowing that this new queen was indeed her stepdaughter, she arrives at the wedding, and her heart fills with the deepest of dread when she realizes the truth. As punishment for her wicked ways, a pair of heated iron shoes are brought forth with tongs and placed before the Queen. She is then forced to step into the iron shoes and dance until she drops dead. (Other versions imply that she dies of a heart attack.)

Tembok Besar China

The first great wall was built during the First Emperor Qin Dynasty. Great Wall was built by combining several existing walls built in the Warring States Period. The original Great Wall is located north of the Great Wall that still exists today, and reached the eastern end of North Korea today. But most of the first great wall have been destroyed.

The Government has instructed the farmers to build this wall, and many died while building it. Therefore, it is also called "the longest cemetery on Earth".
The view from the tower observer

Great Wall we see today is the result of the development of the Ming Dynasty. The interior of the wall containing soil mixed with rocks. Uppers made the main road for the cavalry of China. It is much stronger and longer lasting. The main function of this barrier is to prevent attacks of nomadic tribes from the north.Great Wall of the Ming Dinasty began in the east of Shanhai Fortress, near Qinhuangdao in Hebei Region. It is through the nine provinces, 100 districts and the last 500 km to the west is completely destroyed. At the western end of the day is located in historic Jiayuguan (Jiayu fortress) in northwestern Gansu Province, at the end of the Silk Road

Dangers of mobile phone

Study of a neurosurgeon Professor Dr. Vini Gautam Khurana from the U.S. to prove the use of mobile phones for 10 years can double the possibility of brain cancer. He has won 14 awards and published over 36 scientific papers have been carrying out the study for 15 months to find a link between cell phone use and brain tumors.

Although previous research has been done by many scientists around the globe, the difference with Professor Khurana is that he took samples from among hardcore users mobile phones 10 years ago because he found that cancer cells take at least 10 years to develop.

He said, smoking kills 5 million people each year and mobile phone users are more than 3 billion and growing. This proves that mobile phones will be the 'killer agents' something more than smoking a few years. Even cell phone use among young children are more dangerous because they are more impressed by the radiation than adults.

Thus, the CAP has called on the government-offering menwar Professor Khurana that the people know the dangers of mobile phone and take preventive measures such as using the speakerphone with a distance of 20cm when speaking.

Saudi Arabbia..

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Arabic: المملكة العربية السعودية‎ al-Mamlakah al-‘Arabiyyah as-Sa‘ūdiyyah ), commonly known in British English as Saudi Arabia,is the largest state in Western Asia by land area, constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula, and the second-largest in the Arab World. It is bordered by Jordan, and Iraq on the north and northeast, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirateson the east, Oman on the southeast, and Yemen on the south. The Red Sea lies to its west, and the Persian Gulf lies to the northeast. Saudi Arabia has an area of approximately 2,149,690 km2 (830,000 sq mi), and it has an estimated population of 27 million, of which 8.8 million are registered foreign expatriates and an estimated 1.5 million are illegal immigrants. Saudi nationals comprise an estimated 16 million people.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded by Abdul-Aziz bin Saud (known for most of his career as Ibn Saud) in 1932, although the conquests which eventually led to the creation of the Kingdom began in 1902 when he captured Riyadh, the ancestral home of his family, the House of Saud, referred to in Arabic as the Al Saud. The Saudi Arabian government, which has been an absolute monarchy since its inception, refers to its system of government as being Islamic, though this is contested by many due to its strong basis in Salafism, a minority school of thought in Islam. The kingdom is sometimes called "The Land of the Two Holy Mosques" in reference to Al-Masjid al-Haram (in Mecca), and Al-Masjid al-Nabawi (in Medina), the two holiest places in Islam.

Tasik Dayang Bunting at Pulau Langkawi.

Langkawi Island : Lake of the Pregnant Maiden / Tasik Dayang Bunting
Lake of The Pregnant Maiden /
Tasik Dayang Bunting

Nestled amidst lush forested hills on an island south of Pulau Langkawi is Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake of The Pregnant Maide ), the largest lake in Langkawi. The outline of hills and rocky outcrops on one side of the lake resembles the shape of a pregnant maiden lying on her back. However, the name of both the island and the lake is attributed to the legend of a lovely fairy princess who married an earthly prince. Her first child died shortly after birth. She was so sad and depressed that she buried the child in the crystal clear waters of the lake. Before she returned to her celestial abode, she blessed the waters so that any childless maiden who bathed in the lake would conceive thereafter.

Balik Kampung..holiday!!

What is “balik kampung”? “Balik kampung ” can be defined as going back to one’s hometown during a festival or holidays. It is a unique experience for the most of the Malaysian. Everyone spend most of their time to catch up with family and friends whom they have not seen for some time. From the phase “balik kampung”, it often conjures an image of tranquility and also green pastures. However, this is not always the case because “balik kampung” also brings a host of negative effects.              Doesn’t it bring to mind about the horrendous of traffic jam? Traffic jam is indeed the order of the day. Most people ends getting up early to avoid traffic jam. However, they still get caught in the heavy traffic since everyone also does the same thing. People will definitely get frustrated and angry after a certain period. They may start to vent out their anger by saying swear words and shouting towards others. Thus, several impatient drivers will begin to overtake illegally recklessly by jumping queue. Minor accidents could happen and therefore worsen the traffic jam. Drivers can end up by arguing and drive bumper to bumper. Accidents happen incur expenditure, higher cost is needed to service our car. Besides that, the time taken from KL to Ipoh which is normally 2 ½ hour will be doubled or tripled during festive seasons. Therefore, people at the village will feel anxious and worried as their family members have not arrived at assign time.

On the other hand, the environment in the town is seems to be quiet and stand still. Most people have gone back to hometown. Shops are closed, because there are no businesses during the few particular days. Due to that, businessmen will suffer loses. For example, Jalan Ipoh and Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman. These two roads are often in heavy traffic during normal day but it is just like a ghost town during the festive season. Hence, “mat rempit” will take the opportunity for illegal racing. During holidays, break-in cases and robberies will also increase.          During festive seasons, many accidents may occur such as fatality, serious injuries, and loss of limbs. Consequently, a joyous and happy occasion will turn into a sorrowful and mourning period. Family members are sad. Instead of spending time together in the house to celebrate, they huddle in hospitals waiting for the news or to receive what is left. Other than that, doctors and nurses are affected. They have to work overtime busy attending victims. Therefore, all of their leaves are put on hold. Instead of having a good time with families, they have to spend most of the time in the hospitals. Besides than that, police officers are also busy controlling and directing traffic on the roads. On the other road such as gravel road and kampung road, which town-dwellers are not used to such roads. They will drive recklessly and carelessly, cars sometimes will go out of control. Consequently, accidents occur.
This “balik kampung” phenomenon will also affect school. As a result, schools have to replace extra holidays. This consists of a host of negative elements. During the class replacement on weekends, students often play truant. The attendance rate is slow due to high absenteeism. Hence, no lesson is conducted. Students are left on their own agenda and time is wasted. In future, students will not attend other replacement classes anymore. In addition, teachers may not carry out lessons because of the low attendance. So, teachers may not be able to complete the syllabus. They have to rush through the topics on time. Therefore, some students may not understand the topic and achieve badly in exams.  They may have to go for tuitions as to catch up the syllabus. As for parents, they have to settle the transportation arrangement for their children during the replacement classes because mostly school bus’s drivers do not fetch students on weekends. Parents may late for work or have to cancel other appointments as to take their children to school. Sometimes, they’re forced to take leave too.              After enjoying the joyous moments in hometown, this is the time to start all over again. Now, it is “balik KL” time and the history repeats itself.

The most significant celebration for Muslims, Eid al Fitr, it signifies the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Known locally as Hari Raya Puasa or Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, the celebration is determined by sighting of the new moon on the day, before the next month on the Muslim calendar, Syawal.

The words ‘Hari Raya’ means 'day of celebration.'

Ramadan
Ramadan is the name of the one-month fasting period when Muslims fast from dawn till sunset. During the period of fasting, apart from eating and drinking, Muslims are also forbidden from smoking and having sexual relations. Only the sick are excused from fasting during this month. Muslims are expected to avoid lying, breaking promise or cheating during the month of Ramadan. It is to remind them of the plight of the poor and to cleanse themselves by exercising abstinence and self-control. Even the young are taught to fast.

The Celebration
Muslims starts the day by wearing new clothes and congregating in the mosques early in the morning to perform Hari Raya Puasa prayers followed by visiting the graves of the departed. The young will ask for forgiveness from their elders and have open house for relatives and friends to come to their house. Plenty of traditional Malay delicacies are served during this festive season. Houses are thoroughly cleaned and decorated, and lighting of oil lamps welcomes the angels which are believed to be visiting the earth during the seven days preceding the festival. The celebration lasts for a month but most of the celebration is concentrated in the first three days

Ketupat

variety of delicious spicy dishes. Some favourite dishes that can be found in
Muslims homes on this special occasion are ketupat, lontong, nasi padang

How to Celebrate Christmas.

On Christmas Day, people gather with family and friends to enjoy a festive meal and exchange gifts as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.Send Christmas cards to family and friends wishing them a merry Christmas and a happy new year.Set up a live or artificial Christmas tree in your home. Decorate it with ornaments and lights.Hang mistletoe in a doorway. It is traditional for people to kiss when they stand underneath this small, scented sprig.Place lights and other decorations on the outside of your house and on your outdoor shrubs and trees.Buy gifts for family and friends and pile them under the tree.Hang stockings from your mantel so Santa can leave little items inside when he visits.Ask your children to write down a wish list of the toys they would like to receive.Share the list with Santa Claus so he can fill their requests. Expect him to arrive on Christmas Eve in a sled drawn by reindeer, carrying a red sack filled with gifts.Play Christmas music in your house to get in the holiday spirit; some popular choices include "Silent Night" and "Deck the Halls."
Prepare a huge Christmas feast with foods such as turkey, ham, stuffing and vegetables; serve mince pie for dessert. Include other favorite recipes from your childhood holiday meals.Attend church on Christmas Eve.
Remember that the true meaning of the season is really about giving.

Celebrated by Hindus which is known as 'Deepavali'.

A colorful festival that is celebrated by all Hindus worldwide is Deepavali, which is also known as the festival of lights. This festival usually falls around late October and November. One important practice that the Hindus follow during the festival is to light oil lamps in their homes on Deepavali morning. By lighting the oil lamps, the Hindus are thanking the gods for the happiness, knowledge, peace and wealth that they have received. The Hindus consider Deepavali as one of the most important festivals to celebrate.

    The Legend -
There is even an interesting legend behind this festival. The story goes that Narakasura, a demon, ruled the kingdom of Pradyoshapuram. Under his rule, the villagers suffered a lot of hardship as the demon tortured the people and kidnapped the women to be imprisoned in his palace. Seeing his wickedness, Lord Khrishna set out to destroy the demon and the day Narakasura died was celebrated as Deepavali, the triumph of good over evil!
I which Happy Deepavali to all people especially for hindus people,ok bye....

    Mom i miss YOU...

I miss my parents. Especially my mother. What to do?

Back then, atleast two years ago, my family was happy. My parents made good money, and were so interractive. They made dinner every night, were home when my sister and I were. Sat down with us when we did our homework and helped us study or taught us new things. Now it's nothing like that. Sure, I'm older now. I'm fourteen. I'm more independant and responsible. But I've grown tired from feeling so disconnected from my parents. My dad had quit his job. (long time ago), where he works with patients. He doesn't make as much money anymore.. So I barely see him. I miss him, a lot. My mom works one job,and makes low income. She is the person I miss the most. My mom and I are pretty close, we dont talk about girl problems or anything though. Before, she was this bright, positive person, whom I thought was my role model. Before, she was happy with the way she looked. She had joined a program called weight watchers to stay in shape and lose the weight she didn't want. That was when I saw her happiest. Now, she has gained weight and dislikes the way she looks. She always calls herself a fat pig or fatass (excuse my language, sorry) or just plain fat. She always makes comments about her weight. And how she doesn't have the energy to go get groceries or go to the gym. Its understandable. But in my eyes, she's beautiful just the way she is. I haven't told her that, but I don't want to encourage her to eat more when she wants to lose weight and be happy but then at the same time she doesn't want to because she has no energy and says she'll gain it all back. I've caught her crying at times, she has depression. and it worries me.
She used to make dinner everynight and all of us used to sit together at the dinner table. Now she makes dinner once a week. And for the other six days we eat leftovers and frozen food, whenever youre hungry by yourself. I miss that quality time. I dont have time for myself anymore. Im always either working on schoolwork, doing chores after chores, or trying to keep the house clean because nobody else will, and if I don't then i get yelled at for not doing anything to help the family. So I try to stay ontop of my game to keep them satisfied and off my back. Money is extremely low. Economy sucks, and my parents are having a hard time paying bills. I try not to consume so much food to save money..turn off the lights, fan, barely use my phone. I mean, I'm greatful for everything my parents have done for me, and i know theyre so stressed out with everything. I want to help them. But I miss them. Especially my mother. And its putting a big impact on me. How can I tell them/or her alone? How do i even approach them/her? I didn't realize this would be so long. Sorry about that. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!!

    Cameran Higlands mero History..

The Mossy Forest in Gunung Brinchang, Cameron Highlands is an amazingly rich 200,000 year old forest with deep green moss, ancient trees and fresh dewy mist that gives it a mystical aura. For this reason, it is no surprise at all that this hauntingly beautiful forest was chosen for some of the outdoor scenes for the 2005 Malay historical blockbuster, Puteri Gunung Ledang.
It has also been a location for a string of local advertisements.
Typically, the term “mossy forest” is derived from the abundance of mosses covering the ground and vegetation. Mossy forests are technically known as cloud forests because of the cloud cover over rich, tropical, forests where moisture from the low, persistent clouds is well retained; thereby resulting in permanent moisture and reduced sunlight which gives an abundance of rich moss, epiphytes, peats, humus and fern covering to the boggy ground. The resulting “evapotranspiration” from this low cloud condition also stunts or dwarfs trees to 10m and below, thus giving their trunks and branches are gnarled, twisted look. Another interesting feature of the Mossy Forest is “fog drip”, where fog condenses on the leaves and drops below, giving it a permanent feel of drizzle and fresh dew, which can never be experienced in the cities.
This condition is also favorable for orchids – and there are a few rare species of this beautiful flower found in the highlands. The forest is also home to “pitcher” plants or scientifically known as “Nephentes”. They are carnivorous plants with a liquid filled deep cavity called “pitfall traps” which attract small insects that drown in it. The plant then feeds from the insect that has dissolved in the liquid that contains enzymes secreted by the plant itself. Besides this rather interesting plant, a variety of other strange plants (some poisonous) and medicinal herbs can also be found here, which only the Orang Asli and local guides are familiar with. The trail to the Mossy Forest starts from Sungai Palas Boh Tea Plantation and takes approximately 10-15 minutes by road. A four wheel drive (4WD) will fare better along the narrow and brutally curvy roads that lead to the peak of Gunung Brinchang. Do take your time to enjoy wide variety of vegetation, the silent creatures and the surreal atmosphere of the forest.
At the peak of Gunung Brinchang, approximately 300m away from the mossy forest is the Lookout Tower. This 3 storey, 50ft tower gives a magnificent view of Gunung Brinchang and on a good clear day, the view spreads all the way to neighboring state, Perak.
Gunung Brinchang being the highest point in Malaysia accessibly by road, makes the Mossy Forest the highest “cloud forest” available for trekking/visiting. With it's combination of a rich presence of mysterious aura, an amazingly wide variety of flora and fauna together with an interesting array of silent creatures - it is definitely Cameron’s best kept secret and a place not to be missed.

Zapin (Jawi: زافين) is a dance form that is popular in Malaysia(especially in the state ofJohor) and inIndonesia, especially in Malay-populated provinces in Sumatera (Riau Province, Jambi Province, Riau Island Province,North Sumatera , andBangka-Belitung Island) and West Kalimantan. It is believed to have been introduced by Arab,Muslim missionaries from the Middle East in the fourteenth century. In the old days, only males were allowed to perform; nowadays, female dancers are included. It used to be performed exclusively for religious ceremonies but through the years it has become a form of traditional entertainment, hence the participation of female dancers is allowed.
The dancers usually perform in pairs and are accompanied by a traditional music ensemble which normally consists of the gambus, accordion, rebab, marwas (bongos), rebana (drum) and dok. There are numerous types of zapin, and each type varies by the movement and style of dance. For example Zapin Melayu Johor,Zapin Pulau,Zapin Tenglu,Zapin Tenglu 2,Zapin Lenga,Zapin Pekajang and Zapin Arab
